General Rules

• All participants must be registered and display an official tournament badge.

• Anglers age 16+ must have a valid PA Fishing License and Trout Stamp.

• Only fish caught by registered participants are eligible for prizes.

• All fish must be legally and fairly caught. Snagging, netting, trotlines, and similar methods are prohibited.

• Fishing is allowed Saturday 6:00 AM through Sunday 2:00 PM where permitted.

• No fishing on Friday night. Anyone caught fishing before the official start will be automatically disqualified with no refund.

• Respect private property at all times. Trespassing is strictly prohibited.

• No fishing behind the Roll‑A‑Way Roller Skating Rink. This area is private property and will not be stocked.

• For the Big Trout contest, trout must be presented at the Check‑In Station with tags intact. Any evidence of tampering results in disqualification.

• Limit of 5 tags turned in per participant per day (Saturday and Sunday).

• The Trout Derby reserves the right to accept or reject any trout presented for payment.

• Any violation of rules may result in disqualification.

Fishing Hours

• Saturday 6:00 AM – Sunday 2:00 PM

• No prize payouts after 3:00 PM on Sunday

Tagged Trout Rules

• Maximum of 5 tags may be turned in per participant per day.

• Prize amounts vary by tag and are paid only during Check‑In hours.

• Prior year tags are void.

Big Trout Contest

• • Entry requires an additional $5.00 fee.

  • Contest is a 50/50 payout – half of the Big Trout Contest fees are paid to the winners as follows:

    • 60% to the largest Tagged Trout

    • 30% to the second largest

    • 10% to the third largest

  • Ranking is based on total length plus girth.

  • Weight is used as the tiebreaker.

  • Tagged trout must be presented at the Check-In Station with tags intact. Any evidence of tampering results in disqualification.

  • The Trout Derby reserves the right to accept or reject any trout presented for Big Trout payment.
